Eat Quickly, Women Affected Vulnerable Obesity

A preliminary study in New Zealand recently said the age of middle-aged women who eat quickly is much more likely to be overweight than women who ate more slowly.

Researchers from Otago University to analyze the relationship between speed of eating and body mass index of more than 1,500 New Zealand women aged 40 to 50 years. This age group are known to be at risk of overweight.
Research by university nutrition department mentions, there is a new, more successful method of treating obesity, by eating more slowly.

Dr Caroline Horwath said the study's lead researcher, after adjusting for various factors such as age, ethnicity, smoking habits, physical activity and menopausal status, it was concluded that the faster the tendency of a woman at a meal, the higher the body mass index.
